A welcome from your Headteacher:

My name is Stephanie Beardmore, and I am so proud and excited to be launching our new school in partnership with Flying High Trust, local families, and our community. 

I have been a senior leader in primary education for over ten years, eight of which as a Deputy Headteacher across large two-form entry primary schools, as Drakelow Park FHA will grow to in the coming years. I have worked within a Multi-Academy Trust, and was also proud to support the opening of another brand-new school earlier in my career. 

I am passionate that every child needs a champion – someone who believes in them, and enables them to be the best versions of themselves each and every day. I have a strong commitment to early reading, mathematics, STEM opportunities, and high-quality teaching and learning. As a specialist mathematician, I lead a school that was recognised with a TES Award for Primary School of the Year in this area. I will develop these areas as key areas of our curriculum and provision for children.

Finally, I will lead a team that shapes our curriculum shaped by and rooted in the community it serves. 

Partnership between home and school sits at the centre of the success that will be realised at Drakelow Park Flying High Academy.
